Scout Day Returns to Bear Mountain Saturday, March 8

Big Bear Lake, CA (March 7, 2014) -- On Saturday, March 8, hundreds of scout troops from all over Southern California will hit the slopes at Bear Mountain for the return of the ever-popular Scout Day.

Scout Day offers the opportunity for scouts to earn their coveted Snow Sports Merit Badge while enjoying a fun and exciting day on the slopes. Bear Mountain’s Snow Sports Merit Badge counselors will be at Bear Mountain to test the scout’s knowledge and to conduct the on-hill skills test required to earn the merit badge.

“We can’t wait to welcome all the participants heading up for Scout Day, and we’re so proud of all the scouts working towards earning their badges on Saturday,” said Rio Tanbara, Marketing Director for Bear Mountain. “With our great weather, blue skies, and sunshine, it’s sure to be a fun a day on the slopes for these scouts.”

To show support for everyone hitting the slopes on Saturday, all scouts participating in Scout Day will receive a Bear Mountain Scout Day patch. Scouts will need to be prepared with their Snow Sports Merit Badge Workbook and Blue Cards. For more information on Scout Day, visit the Bear Mountain groups page.
